<U>Mission:</U><BR>The Ronald McDonald House of Rochester, Minnesota<BR>provides
a home away from home...<BR>and gives support to families seeking<BR>medical
care for their children.
<B>House Features:</B>
<P>The Ronald McDonald House of Rochester, MN is conveniently located between
Mayo Clinic and St. Mary's Hospital. The House provides a comfortable and
supportive environment with shared kitchens, dining rooms, playrooms and laundry
facilities. Each family stays in a comfortable guest room that contains a queen
bed and a twin with a pull out trundle, a private bathroom, telephone and
television - truly making this a home-away-from-home.
<P>Kitchens contain all the plates, pots and pans and utensils families will
need to prepare their favorite meals. The pantry has been generously stocked by
community supporters and is available for families to use. Each family is a
given a cupboard to store their personal shelf food items and a bin in the
refrigerator is reserved for their cold items.
<P>
Laundry facilities are located on each floor. Again, our generous community provides the laundry soap,
bleach and fabric softeners for guests to use. Washing and drying can be done
for .25 cents a load.
<P>Playrooms for our younger guests are located on each floor. Toys, books and
puzzles are available for all to use. Our older guests enjoy the Game Room
located on the first floor. Arcade games, air hockey and Playstation 2 are
available at no charge.
<P>Parking is provided for our guests. Monday through Friday a shuttle is
available to get families to and from the medical buildings. Taxi vouchers are
also available to our guests.

<B>Who can stay?</B>
<P>The Ronald McDonald House of Rochester, MN provides housing for families who
have a child, 18 years or younger, receiving medical care in Rochester. Because
of the high demand for the House we are not able to make any exceptions based on
age.
<P>Guest rooms are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations to
stay at the House can only be made once you arrive in Rochester. If the House is
full upon your arrival your name will be added to a waiting list. As rooms are
vacated, families are called from the waiting list. The House works closely with
several area hotels and will be able to make suggestions regarding other
accommodations while on the waiting list. To help defray House expenses guests
are asked to pay a nominal fee of $10.00 per night.
<P>For the health and safety of all, the Ronald McDonald House is a non smoking
facility. </P>
